Ms. Mokhali also congratulated the two runners up, Regina Maasdorp of Strelitzia Guest House in Upington and Neiso Mophule of Repa Guest House in Kimberley.
Winning the Emerging Tourism Entrepreneur of the Year Award, also know as the ETEYA Award, is a huge achievement as the winners and semi-finalists are being selected by a national assessment panel made up South African Tourism, the Department of Tourism and Environmental Affairs, South African Tourism Services Association, South African Grading Council, Tourism Enterprise Programme and ABSA Bank.
Participants also have to undergo an intensive preparation and development programme under the leadership of the provincial tourism directorate before they are assessed by the national panel.
“We are proud of our top tourism entrepreneurs”, said Mokhali, and urged all travellers to give preference to Heerengracht Guest House (053 831 1531), Strelitzia Guest House (054 331 1519) and Repa Guest House (053 861 3132) when booking accommodation for your next trip!
