The 2007 Flamingo Casino Barney Barnato Golf Week

09 October 2007 Bookings have opened at the Kimberley Golf Club for the 18th staging of the annual eight day, nine night ‘Festival of Golf, Ribald and Revelry’ from the 20th – 27th October 2007, this styled the Flamingo Casino Barney Barnato.

The event attracts entries from South Africa, the neighbouring States, Australia and the United Kingdom. In all some 600 different competitors are set to play over 1600 rounds of golf.

Each day is an individual stableford competition, the top seven players receiving due recognition. In addition, each day, the leading 25 player garner points towards the overall Order Of Merit win determined at weeks end. Ladies enjoy a second advantage having the added opportunity of an own Order Of Merit winner. In all the prizes are valued at over R 50 000 through the week.
That which sets the Barney Barnato apart is that an equal amount is invested in the nightly entertainment. A variety of bands that include Escape, Christo & Kobus, Dantonio, the De Beers Superstone Field Band, as well as the Can Can Gilrs and the Piper all add to ribald and the revelry.

Having the Flamingo Casino and the Road Lodge on site ensure added entertainment and easy accommodation on tap, enhancing an already memorable experience.

Bookings may include a one off game through to an eight day experience, an individual entry or a fourball of your choice. The cost is R 140 per player per round.
