The official Northern Cape travel guide 2010 advertising rates

As the official guide of the Northern Cape Tourism Authority this upmarket travel guide and the website are the most important promotional items in their marketing arsenal. The print run of the travel guide is guaranteed to be at least 21 000 copies, and often more are printed, when the need arises.


Advertisers will be highlighted on the official Northern Cape Website
This website is No 1 on most major search engines, such as Google, when searching for Northern Cape and receives an average of 350 000 hits per month! Advertisers in the travel guide get priority exposure on the site, the bigger the ad in the guide, the more the exposure on this website.

At least 21 000 copies with a high profile distribution for a full year
The Northern Cape Tourism Authority will have stands at the following national and international tourism trade shows where The Northern Cape Travel Guide will be distributed:

• Indaba - South African Tourism’s International trade show - Durban, SA
• Getaway - Travel consumer show - Johannesburg & Cape Town, SA
• Outdoor Adventure Show - Cape Town, South Africa
• World Travel Market - International travel trade show, London, England
• ITB - International trade show, Berlin, Germany
• Vakanti Beurs - Travel Consumer Show, Utrecht, Netherlands
• Holiday and Travel Expo - Travel Consumer Show, Namibia Also trade shows in Botswana
• China
• Japan

The Publication will also be distributed to the following points:
South African Tourism Head Office, Johannesburg; Information Office at Johannesburg International Airport; International offices of Frankfurt, London, Sydney, Paris, Milan, Tokyo, Amsterdam and New York. The most important of the Foreign Missions (158 around the world) will be selected in our key source market and supplied with travel guides. Provincial Information Offices will be serviced regularly with the publication. Kimberley Information Office, the NOCCI office situated at the Big Hole, various hotels and guesthouses in Kimberley as well as on the Tourism Information rack at the airport. During the 2010 Soccer World Cup, packages will be made up for the Uruguayan team and those accompanying them and put in their hotel rooms. There will also be an information desk at their hotel. All advertisers will receive copies of the publication with further copies obtainable from NCTA.

Supplied Advertising Material Required
If advertising material is supplied then it must be in a digital format (dimensions of advertisements are with the rates). No positives or negatives will be accepted.

Electronic material required: Apple Macintosh compatible, made up in In-Design or Freehand, or supplied as a composite EPS or TIFF file. Remember to supply fonts and all EPS/TIFF’s for open files. A physical proof must also accompany your disc, preferably an accurate colour proof approved by the client. Material can be supplied on CD or e-mailed to dalene@northerncape.org.za

Advertising material to be made up by The Tourism Blueprint
As an additional service advertising make-up for The Northern Cape Travel Guide will be done free of charge, at the discretion of the publisher (Please note that advertising rates are for the space in the publication only.)

NB The electronic files and lithographic positives remain the property of The Tourism Blueprint. If the client requires the final advertisement for themselves or another publication it will be charged for. The client must supply all copy, logos, photographs and illustrations. A maximum of two b/w laser proofs will be faxed, or a colour PDF will be e-mailed. If more, or physical colour proofs, are required, they, and the corrections will be charged for.

Agency commission is included in the full price but not in the discounted rate.
